Thankful Thursday

These pics were taken 3/1/23 was a cloudy dreary day then I looked out my window and WOW Reminds me of Gods Creations daily.  The longer I was out the redder it got (Red sky at night sailors delight!)

Now to my Thankful Thursday     I am thankful everyday for the many blessings God gives to me and that he always has His angels of protection around me.

This week has been truly a roller coaster *with a great BIG r*

Sunday it was 52 degrees outside (early in week they had said bad weather potentially)  living in OK we can have 4 seasons inside a few hours.   Around 9pm phones started going off warning of the tornadoes in the very SW part of OK which is 250 miles away, traveling toward OK City 105 mph  eek this is hurricane 1 wind speeds.   Then it takes the turn toward the Tulsa area glued to the tv (105 mph wind my little travel trailer or my friends mobile home would not withstand that type of winds and producing derechos those things are scary in their own self.      I prayed countless times that evening God please keep your angels of protection around us as no matter what I do what ever happens its going to happen.    You will never guess what happens next  This storm split 2 ways 15 miles from here,  and knowing this either way we are going to get hammered.  God please keep your angels of protection around us and keep us safe I kept repeating and praying.   Neither storm was close enough for damaging winds   we had 50 + mph and very very heavy rain.     Thank you GOD for keeping us safe during what could have been a lot of fatalities, and a lot of structural damage.

Tuesday & Wed were exceptionally warm 75 degrees YES I love the spring time then today Thursday high was only 48 raining and storming all day guess what tornadoes again in the far South Eastern part of OK   I am not sure what the southern part of the state has done to deserve all these tornadoes but sure glad I keep prayed UP.

Thankful for

Salvation, Family, friends, food in the fridge, climate control for this crazy weather, dependable transportation, my animals, blogging, Bible journaling, photography, blessings.

Please join me in praying for our country, my nephew is still having pneumonia problems, my family in East  TX to Dallas area they had really bad storms tonight,   I will call them all tomorrow.   A friend dealing with some personal things *God knows*, REVIVAL growing in our country AMEN, illnesses that we can't control, financial help for deserving people.  My list goes on and on.

Thursday, March 02Philippians 2:33 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,

have a happy and blessed weekend ahead

Happy Valentines Day

Something I made in 2014 thought you would enjoy
This was our magical day July 14, 2018 we got married 36 yrs from the day he asked me to wear his classing and be his girlfriend.   Funny, we went to the same school he was a senior when I was a freshman.  Went to the same church back then the single boys sat on on side the married couples in the middle and the single girls on the other side.   We would catch a glimpse of peeking at each other.   We initially met at church camp Wed July 14 1982 also the day I accepted Jesus Christ as my lord and savior in front of 5000 other people oh what a day that was.   Life took us the full circle until we were back together in 2016 only to find 3 months later he was in stage 4 colon cancer.  We went thru chemo every 2 weeks wearing a 48hr drip, it was awful.   Gator (Gary) was truly a fighter all the way till the end.     This is my 2nd Valentine without him, I just try to keep my mind occupied doing my blogs and bible journaling.   I know he is at peace no more pain and suffering, my stubborn side misses him still to this day.  Next month will be 2 yrs since his passing.    However, I am happy and enjoying life in my peace of heaven.   I hope each of you have a very nice Valentines day.

Happy Friday

This was taken a few years back but felt appropriate since we had last week Sleet, snow and freezing rain.  Thankfully the freezing rain stopped and we ended up with almost 3" of sleet.

Thank you for the prayers for my great nephew Justin, he got to go home but has a long road ahead of him.   We found he has no immune system at all and will be on Immunoglobulin for the rest of his life most likely.   He is a tough little cookie.

Yesterday (Thursday) it was 60* out and today 36 feels like 28 I wish Father time would just apologize to Mother Nature and do those honey dos.

I hope all of you have a blessed weekend.

Do you watch the Superbowl?  Did your team make it?  if not who will you route for?  here the KC Chiefs are my team and they are Superbowl bound.  What traditions do you have if you watch it?  here making rotel cheese dip with chips and sweet tea.   I may make a warm soup depending on the weather.

Happy Tuesday and bw 2

I truly hope everyone is staying safe from this brutal weather.   I think mother nature has became very bi-polar.   Monday it was 22 for high, we had Thunder, lighting, sleet, freezing rain, snow, all in a bout 10 mins.    The roads went from clear to 3" of sleet in less than 15 minutes.   Today the high is 23 and  has been repeating yesterday off and on most of the day.

The birds are loving all of the feeders, maybe tomorrow I can get some pics, as they are still skiddish.

Life on the farm is good, please pray for the horses, as they do not tolerate the extreme temperature change easily and with them being older.   Saturday it was 60.

something about snow in b/w is actually kind of cool

hope you each have a blessed rest of week,   Please pray that my propane lasts until tomorrow so that I can get out safely as today is not a safe day to drive.

Jan 23 BW number 1

Happy Monday!    Hope all is blessed.   I am starting my bw photos sorry I got behind but this will be my day one vs 23.
Today my oldest brother turns 65 yrs young, he is mentally challenged with the mentality of a low 9 yr old.   I called him this morning to tell him Happy Birthday he laughed and said I sounded just like mom, made me feel good that he thought of mom this am as well.  She was 19 when he was born, her birthday would have been the 28th of this month.

We have some crazy (bi-polar) weather coming they are saying up to 6" of wet snow oh boy!

I would love to know how old these ole oak trees are, and hear their stories.

Here is a link from the meteor that caused such a boom early Friday morning  ok meteor boom

Monday, January 23Philippians 4:1313 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

This is one of my all time favorite verses.   (Thank you Lord for giving me strength to conquer the things I thought I couldn't)

Happy Saturday

 Saturday, January 21

Proverbs 18:1010 The name of the LORD is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.

I truly hope each and every one of you are safe (from the weather in your area)  We have had some CRAZY weather this week.   Mon- Tues was in 70's Wed 60's Thursday, all heck broke lose and it hit 38 then Friday was in the 50's no wonder everybody is sick. Today 50 and temps dropping with rain turning to snow  So far, Praise the Lord I have not had even a sniffle!
If you pray, good vibes, positive thoughts please keep my Great nephew Justin in your prayers he is 12 yrs old was hospitalized Monday with double pneumonia and a fungi viral infection.  After all the test, thank GOD he does not have Leukemia however his #'s are all messed up so they are going to start treatment to make sure this doesn't go to Leukemia.   Wednesday they had started on more steroids which yesterday weren't working, the Dr's told my Niece (The boys mom) that had he not been in the hospital he would have been in ICU and on a vent    Please keep this precious baby in your prayers, he will not be able to go back to school until they get his immune system properly taken care of.  Thinking of babies one of the twins got pink eye while at day care, so their dad had to miss 2 days of work.  Now on to work, my niece hasn't been on her "new" job long enough to get leave of absence so they "let her go" and told her she could reapply when she can.

My friend in Springfield MO is still on a vent but there is improvement daily she has been in ICU since Tuesday after Christmas.

On to life on the farm,  Friday morning at 338 I was rudely awakened by a huge boom sounded like an explosion.   Josh and I went to get propane and horse feed and found some news it was however a meteor that exploded in the county we live in, had it not have exploded maybe we could have found some of the rocks, that would have been super cool.
Thinking of life on the farm,  all the animals are doing well, think they are all ready for spring I know I sure am.

I hate that I got behind on the BW photos that I have done for several years, I am going to start Today and try to keep up, it has been cold here since Thanksgiving minus a few days is why I haven't taken any photos.

I hope everybody has a great weekend and a blessed week ahead

God is Good and Thankful Thursday

I just found my beautiful necklace that was lost in September   I prayed to God again this afternoon to please let me know a place where I haven't looked and went out side to enjoy the day.   Overwhelming feeling came over to look in the under storage (outside)  and I open the storage and moved some stuff out and I saw something beautiful shining and moved it and there it was my necklace.   My dad gave this to my mom in 1979 for their 25th wedding anniversary.

Thankful Thursday
