Look what I did ;)

went out to the beach this afternoon
(a bit chilly) and wrote in the sand ;)
this was so much fun,
then came the tide, and took my
writing for a ride, wave after wave
it got dimmer and dimmer finally
washed away.  so till next time
I venture to the water, the waves and
tide will still be doing the same thing
over and over...the tide goes in, the tide goes out.

Giant TUMBLEWEED (s)

 so, today I was on the phone with
mom  at lunch time and this
giant tumbleweed proceeds to blow around the car parked next to me,
then around again and comes smack
right toward my windshield, hits my car and goes all the way across it ;(
so i get out chasing it down so that
can get a pic of it that is the top pic
then it blows across the street
OH MY what have I found here
lots of tumbleweeds the bottom pic
shows all of the tumbleweeds before
they start blowing.
I have never laughed so hard in all of my life, about being attacked by a
Giant tumbleweed  we don't have those
in Northeast OK so I was in such amazement

the next day all of these were blowing
across that open field you talk about looking funny all these tumbleweeds
rolling and blowing in the hay.

HINT::::Never ever try to pick them up they are like thorns unless you are very careful.  I was going to put it in the car and bring it home but it wouldnt fit into my trunk ;( guess i need to leave it for the next person to enjoy.

13 days of Christmas family traditions day 10

Hope all of you are having a super Blessed week.

I remember as a young child we would all (my 2 brothers and myself) sit on the huge (so it seemed then) hearth at mom n dads so that dad could "try" get that perfect picture, you know though the only thing missing was mom n dad :(

we would do that then mom had a string that went all the way across, we got to put all the Christmas cards on the string one at a time....it was so cool to do that.  Now mom just piles them in a pile I told her last night we should get the string out and put them across the hearth (mom wasn't feeling well last night so we didn't do it)
After hanging Christmas cards on that string for what seemed to be an eternity back then, we all got a special treat (hot chocolate with melted peppermint in it YUM YUM YUM)
Then Dad would always read us a Christmas story (sometimes I think he made them up as he went but hey it was all good and fun)

Hope everybody is having a great week and that your Christmas shopping is complete, if you have to go out shopping  please be careful..its like a zoo out there.

Bob and I being silly on the cam...when we can't be there in person this works.  I took it with my Android...I love having a camera phone

We are doing great and will be together soon.  I can't wait..and I know that Bob can't either.
