Fun finds on rte 66

 

 found this coo little road side attraction on RTE 66 Afton OK, its called NOWHERE on rte 66 kind of funny

this replica is very cool

I wanted to push the buttons on the remote (not really) but the kid in us.

the totem poles are made out of old plastic gas cans, detergent bottles, watering cans either way its cool

Think that he/she has been on that scooter a little too long in the heat?

I found the hippie clan again all made from tree limbs and plastic containers how cool

remember the sinclair dinosaur? he tops right up there with the pink flamingo I found last yr on rte 66  I couldn't find the post to link

and to end the beautiful day  caught the moon just as it was coming up

I love finding treasures even at a road side attraction.   I truly miss being able to take photos (with my camera) its still a little too heavy yet. 

how do you enjoy finding treasures?   I hope each of you are doing well in this heat we are STILL having .  

Bible verse cards

This is something that I look forward to on Friday's (the verse cards) however I make them my own   The cards (I print out) then choose a verse *on the verse titles) to coincide with the pictures.  This time I printed them on sticker paper, vs cutting them out then gluing waiting for it to dry then writing the verses, saved myself a few steps.   Then punched holes in them to put on my bible verse key ring 

Our teacher sends this card with the verses along with the printed ones, then I choose the one I like for each verse 

I always think of a song that goes with the verse, put the words on the back of card

Chorus to "his eye is on the sparrow"

We should all proclaim the name of the Lord

always be humble and kind comes to mind with this verse :) I will write that on the back!

Bible Journaling

I started a 30 day bible journaling challenge (it started July 4th) due to my shoulder surgery I am just now getting started with it.   

This was my entry for today Matthew 6: 28-29

this is a fun way to grow out relaionship with Christ along with a fun way to learn the bible.

Gods Beauty

so hard to believe these little guys will be 6 months tomorrow 8222 sitting in their highchairs eating breakfast like big boys

The ants sure love this milk weed, the monarchs love it, must be really sweet tasting

this bumblebee had so much pollen on him/her blow up the pic and you can see the pollen dust on the thistle

Dad's headstone got replanted so they could engrave moms 

Mom's part of the headstone finally got engraved a year later, it is so nice, mom would really be proud.

seems the bumble bee couldn't decide on the milk weed or the thistle

this cute little butterfly found the thistle.   Those things have big, huge stickers and do not feel nice when they grab you, however I do not have the heart to cut them down since so many insects need them right now.

we can always find God's beauty any place we look if we just open our eyes and look around.  What do you see through your camera lens?

 Monday, August 01

update from surgery

 it's now been 26 days post-surgery.  My PT says that it is doing great for the time frame.  range of motion is at 90 degrees beforehand it may have been 40.

Jesus has me in his hands and I will be healed in no time.  I have great help still at home

I still have a hard time pushing shopping carts, this is normal.  I do not sack my groceries heavy so that I can manage getting them inside.  

I had a couple of break throughs this week   1) I can now turn the shower faucet on/off.  2) I can squeeze the shampoo bottle.  3) I can actually wash my hair with both hands now.  If you have ever had any shoulder surgery, you willl understand that these three things are a BIG accomplishment.  the downfall of the reversal shoulder replacement is that I most likely will never be able to reach behind my back, I am ok with that if I have full function to the front.

this is the xray 13 days post-surgery dr said it was healing fine and looked great.   the dark place is not my lungs it is the bruising still from surgery

Home

 Got to come home today.  Finally at 1230 (midnight) finally got some broth and sierra mist.   I was good then I slept till after 6 

I got released around 800, but had to wait on PT, Hospital Dr, then the nurse to come and remove                       my av do final bp ect    I walked out of the hospital at 10 mins till 9   got home and resting all my little girls are right up on the couch with me

Surgery

 

July 01, 2022

 Surgery was successful! Praise the LORD.  Had a pancreatic episode due to opioids do to not eating enough.  In this case a very small cup of jello wasn't enough.   They then took me off food and water till the dr comes in the am.  I haven't had solid food since 530 wed.   Iam about in a raging fit and this fluid IV isn't cutting it.  I am very weak from no food and very dry mouthed.   Please pray this gets resolved quickly.

 PT starts Wed July 6th.   

Let this healing journey begin.

They met me keep Joy (mama bear) with me right till they wheeled me to surgery they gave her bac k in recovery
