Day 24 Something I miss

MY DAD! not a day goes by
that I just wish for one more day

I, also, miss the "good ole days" when a handshake was your word,
you left your homes unlocked, had get together(s) everybody pitched
in to help no matter what the need was IE neighbors helping neihbors
kids got spankings (NOT BEATINGS THERE IS A DIFFERENCE)
we had respect for everything. It wasn't all about me!
OH I COULD GO ON FOR HOURS WITH THIS TOPIC!

we are pretty thrifty spenders (carefully) however we know people who make 3 times
the money we make and can't afford their bills

we cook at home eating out only 1 x a month, gator cooks a mean steak

Day 23 FAMILY event

Day 23 family event

Gators annual Memorial Day Smoke out
last year we had 50 adults and WHO knows how may kiddos
we cooked 3 pork butts and a 15 lb Brisket for pulled pork and brisket sandwhiches
1 gal of cold slaw, 3 GAL of baked beans gator style and A full 10 lb bag of potatoes
we had a really good time :)
This year it is going to be DIFFERENT keeping it adult friendly :) no that we don"t like kids but sometimes the adults need adult time too. we are expecting so far around 20
most will be coming on bike (motorcycle) we will be sharing photos the end of may

this is always a blast

Day 22 My morning routine

Wake up, go to bathroom, take shower feed Willie goat, Sandra the chihuahua, Tasha & Drummer blue healer puppies, Harley the German Shepherd and kitty and now we rescued some wild bunnies
and they require feedings as well.

Call mom, wash last night supper dishes, start laundry, mop/sweep floor if needed
If mom has to go to therapy drive to her house take her to therapy, bring her home
help her with any thing she needs help doing
